Bass Bow

Price: $ 86.05 The Bass bow has a "French" Frog which keeps the hair closer to the stick. This allows one to bear down quite hard on the saw for extra loud notes. The stick is thicker than the cello bow thus you will have to endure essentially no "flex" while playing. - Please note: The picture shows a German frog - The French frog is very similar to a cello bow only substantially wider.

Price: $ 7.20 Tip Handles make Saw playing much more pleasureable. No more sore thumbs and wrists, you'll be able to play for hours. The Tip Handle also keeps you from touching the blade, hence skin oil doesn't tarnish the tip.
I carry two cheats
Universal Economy (pictured here)My economy Tip Handle is well under half the price of the Universal Cheat - but it will only work with a saw equipped with a hole punched in the tip. (ALL OF MY SAWS HAVE THIS HOLE). If you will be using a Tip Handle with one of my saws, get this one. It's less than half the price of the Universal and is in fact more robust!

Musical Saw Microphone Note - in the picture I have included a microphone. - The Microphone does not come with the Mic Holder. You must order that seperately Here is a picture of me using the saw microphone (actually, the cord goes behind my hand, I was just posing for the picture). Aim the Mic at about a 45° angle. The beauty of this arrangement is that no matter how much you bend the saw, the mic stays relatively close to the blade. More important, you don't have to worry about banging the mic with your saw so you can focus on playing.
The mic has a tendency to pick up bow noise so if you can dial the treble all the way down you will hear just the saw and no bow noise whatsoever.
If you have your own Mic, you may purchase just the bracket and tip handle (Everything except the microphone - you would slip your mic into my mic holder.)

Price: $ 42.00 You can produce a huge variety of music/sounds. At it's most basic, you just hold the bow up to the corner of your mouth and strum it. - However, the fun begins when you do the following: Change your mouth cavity, change the tension on the bow, and rattle/stop the string - all to produce a wide variety of interesting rhythms/melodies. - Other tips: play into a metal bowl, play with a cello bow, etc.
What's included: Picking Bow body, Guitar string, violin tuning peg, pick, instructions.
34" long. Made of Cherry or White Oak with Ebony peg. Reinforced Peg hole to prevent splitting. Incredibly easy to play (even easier than the Musical Saw!) - you'll play it right out of the box.

Price: $ 4.80 The picture shows my dark rosin (I carry both blond and dark rosins) Honestly, except for color, they are identical and perform equally well. You get what I happen to pull out of the box - unless you tell me to send you a specific one. (and even then, I may be temporarily out of either one.)
The rosins are extra sticky - and quite cheap. For playing the saw, a $20 cake of rosin will deliver no better performance than these. Since saw players go through rosin a lot faster than other string players we want a nice cheap rosin.
